School Supplies for Students in Need!

Hi everyone!
This year, I will be teaching at Tafolla Middle School in San Antonio ISD. I will be a Behavior Unit Teacher (self-contained classroom). For those of you that do not know what a self-contained/behavior unit is, it is a classroom that is specifically for students with emotional/behavioral disorders.
Tafolla Middle School is a Title 1 school, which means the majority of the student population are living in or on the line of poverty. As a Title 1 school, our fundings are very limited and often times do not have enough to support our students without having teachers pay out of pocket in order to support their classroom and students.
Many of these students also are considered "at-risk" of dropping out of school. Middle school is such an important age. This is when we are on a constant search of our identities and stress about our self-worth. Without the proper school supplies, school can be such a stressful place. Not being able to afford the things we take for granted is a difficult place to come from.
As you guys know (or maybe you don't), teachers are not given much to get their classroom prepped with school supplies, decorations, and etc. We may receive anywhere from $200-400 a year to build a class library, have a well decorated classroom, and even have school supplies readily available for students. We are to use money from our own pocket if the allotted money is not enough. Not to mention prizes, parties, and other fun activities to do that also ends up costing money.
This is where you come in. Schools thrive off of fundraisers and although $1500 may not seem like a lot for a school that has over 800 students... it is a start!
I created this gofundme account to help not just my classroom but also the students and teachers at Tafolla Middle School to help stock up on the necessity school supplies and to create a classroom library where the students will be able to check out books. I am also taking in donations of school supplies as well!
Some of the things we need are:
- pencils
- markers (big and skinny!)
- color pencils
- packs of printer paper (LOTS AND LOTS)
- contruction paper
- colored printer paper
- pencil pouches/boxes
- crayons
- glue (liquid and glue sticks)
- scissors (big and kid friendly)
- tape
- notebooks
- composition books
- notebook paper (LOTS!!)
- folders (with and without brackets)
- binders (1"-1.5")
- dividers
- sheet protectors
- rulers
- Germ-X/hand sanitizer
- Kleenex
