Over a year ago Matt and Ashley decided to start their foster/adoption journey. After prayer and searching, they decided on an amazing organization. They loved their mission and felt God's peace with that decision. Through this organization, children are willingly placed into homes by the birth parent/parents. Which means, families, like Matt and Ashley, take these kids in without receiving any compensation from the state or otherwise. They choose to love on these kids and provide for them out of their own pocket. They do this never knowing how long they will have these kids. Some end up back with the birth parent or a family member. But sometimes, they end up needing a forever home. And that is what this about!
In October, Matt and Ashley received their first placement in a precious little one year old boy (who has since turned two). As you can imagine, they love this little guy as if he is their own, but had prepared their hearts to have to say goodbye.
And NOW they have found out they will get the chance to adopt him. They are beyond thankful to get to call him son forever.
Because they are with a private organization, this means Matt and Ashley have to come up with the entire cost for the adoption. That amount totals to around $15,000.
In order for their little one to be moved from foster placement to adopt placement, they need the majority of that amount within a few weeks!! This has all happened very suddenly! Anything you could give to offset the cost and help them make this happen would be greatly appreciated.
