Melissa Omeara is an amazing person with a beautiful soul, and we mustn’t let her leave us too soon. 44 years old with two wonderful boys, who help her everyday to overcome this challenge
Melissa has fought cancer in the past and overcame it , but this time it came back undetected and grew to large to perform surgery or use radiation , with chemo not effective against this sarcoma . The doctors at OHSU surmised that chemo or radiation wouldn’t shrink tumor enough to perform surgery , that these therapies would just give her more time and that there is no cure.
Her diagnosis in Febuaray 2018 with Myxoid lipo Sarcoma , resulting in a very large tumor lodged in her pelvis wrapping around and thru the pelvis hole where the sciatic nerve pass thru causing her intense pain. The tumor was growing rapidly in February when Melissa started alternative treatment with results of slowing this beast down now showing , Melissa has less pain and has reduced her pain meds , she’s getting out more often and has a great appetite. Melissa has noticed signs of shrinking in one area and our hope is that pictures will show shrinkage in all areas. Melissa is due for pictures in two months.( Sept 20th )
The last six months of treatment cost $50000
