My name is Michael Brooks the father of Damon and Elijah Brooks. Our family has been through hell on Earth!
I personally struggled with hepatitis C my entire adult life, I had reached a point that I was no longer a candidate for traditional medications.
So our family made it the decision to travel and use cannabis oil in the hopes to regain my health. It was an amazing success after only seven months. The disease seem to be totally eradicated from my body.
I had become healthy for the first time in my entire adult life...
Jamie and I have one son together, Damon, he was a year-and-a-half-old at this time.
Then God bless Jamie and I with yet another son, Elijah. Our family moved into a larger house to accommodate our growing family. It was an old rental property and we all came down with lead poisoning.
Although Jamie placenta good protect Elijah from the lead contamination, Damon suffered severely,he lost more than 30% of his cognitive abilities and self-help skills.
Not knowing any better, I'll call the Department of Children Services to see you what type of resource agencies were in our area to help my son get back on track. It was then that we were drug tested.
Both Jamie and I tested positive for THC very high load of THC. It was from the effective medications that we both took. Jamie also suffered from early stages of hepatitis C, but her cure has held strong!
The Department of Children Services warned us about the dangers of cannabis and our ability to raise our children with an illicit substance in our lives.
I explained in detail and provided medical documentation as to what the THC was for and how effective that it actually was. But in the state of Tennessee it was just another good reason for the Department of Children Services to take children from their parents.
I have been denied my constitutional rights and civil liberties and forced back into disease because I have been forbidden to travel to more compassionate areas to take this affective medicine.
As a result, within 5 months my disease returned with a vengeance.
We have been fighting for 19 months to get our children back.
On April 7th we are scheduled to have our parental rights permanently terminated. But as it is, I have no lawyer at this particular moment. It is my hope that on the 7th I may be able to plead with the court in order to get more time to secure a lawyer.
I have no doubt whatsoever, with proper representation our children would come home, and we will have exposed more than $500,000 and misappropriation of federal funding!
I do have a little more than $1,000 put up from an earlier fundraiser. Honestly it felt so much like begging, I pulled my earlier GoFundMe down.
If I could go door-to-door and raise the money necessary to get a lawyer to save my children I would do it in a heartbeat!!! So I hope that this campaign isn't not misunderstood.
I will do it anything possible to save my children and my namesake.
There is so little time, and so much money necessary in order to secure an effective lawyer,who has a heart for the family, and not for personal incentives.
I ask that you pray for reconsider and investment and our family, and in return, I'll promise to never stop fighting for DCS reform!
There are more than a half a million children in strangers homes today because the Department of Children Services tactics and money schemes to destroy families. All in lieu of federal funding...
