Wexford CoderDojo is a free coding club for children. It has been running steadily since March 2014. We teach Scratch, App inventor, Robotics, Java, javaScript, html... Each year we teach those coding tools for which we have mentors.
We have a waiting list with over 400 people and hope to host several pop-up dojos throughout the year to let them have a chance to experience the dojo.
We need funds to pay our insurance, electricity, heating, trips to various events such as #megadojo or#coolestProjects. We do not charge parents any fees when the child joins to keep it accessible to everyone. Unfortunately, to date we have not been successful in sourcing devices as donations which would enable us to take even those kids whose parents cannot afford a device as members.
