Chantelle’s World Challenge

Forres Academy Malaysia & Borneo Student Expedition 2020 ❤️

Our 15yr old daughter has been given this truly magnificent opportunity of a lifetime, to participate in an expedition to Malaysia and Borneo.  
Their main focus will be to participate in community and conservation work, which may involve working at learning centres for minority groups, helping to renovate schools and spend time with children, tree planting projects or turtle conservation programmes and much more. 
The first day will be finding their feet in the city of Kuala Lumpar or Kuching before working their way into the jungle to explore trails and get used to carrying their equipment. 
There will be no 5 star hotels! Accommodation can be a tent, hostel or a hammock alone.  Transport will be a mixture of planes, trains, camels and boats. 
It all sounds amazing right!? But there is one drawback, being the financial costs involved. The total being £3,650. She has already taken steps to start raising this amount with a weekend & afterschool job, also brainstorming for fundraising events, and of course as her parents, we will chip in as much as possible. But.... Chantelle would like to raise even more than the cost of the expedition to personally donate to each project that she works with, whether it be for a school/children, towards the animals habitat and any other projects and programmes that could benefit from a donation. 
Chantelle and ourselves will be thrilled and extremely grateful for any donation that you can make, no matter what it may be.
