Yael’s fight against cancer

Yael is an 8 year boy and was attending Peña Blanca School in Rio Rico, AZ. Yael has always been a bright and energetic child. He is the older brother of 2 and son of Julio Duarte and Brenda Lopez and not to mention an outstanding and happy kid to all who have had the pleasure in meeting him.
A few months ago after discovering a mass on his chest. Yael went through many medical procedures only to find out his life would change in a blink of an eye. He was diagnosed with leukemia. He has gone through chemotherapy, spinal taps, painful tests and still continues to fight this cancer with all the challenges it brings and yet never looses his smile in hope that one day he will be able to step outside and play without wearing his mask to smell the fresh air.
We are asking for help because as you can imagine bills are piling up and we would like Yael’s parents to focus all of their energy on helping Yael through daily treatments and also care for their two other kids Jasel (1 year old) and Yamilet (2 weeks old). We would like to relieve them off as much financial burden as possible so they can focus daily on Yael’s path of getting healthy once again. This fight is barely beginning and it seems to just get harder and harder.
Anything you can contribute, no matter how small the amount will be greatly appreciated by all who love Yael. If unable to donate we just ask for a prayer for him, as we are big believers in a chain of prayers. We will update you as this superhero continues his daily battle with his fight against cancer. Let’s all show him we can all come together in support of one another.
