Beni’ s Recovery

Beni’ was a cruelty case in Tampa , FL. He is only 9 years old , 11 pounds which is probably half his body weight . He is a diabetic , emancipated , Abcess teeth and fighting for his life . Beni’ was confiscated by Hillsborough County  Animal control and was sent to Senior Paws Sanctuary .  Transport brought him to the Fort Myers , Fla area and he was rushed to Viscaya  Del Prado Vet office . Dr Megan Davis is monitoring his condition while he is hospitalized in a 24 hour veterinarian office in Cape Coral , Fla . Upon arrival his blood sugar tested 718 , over 500 points higher than it should have registered . He’s emancipated and zero muscle tone or body fat is left . Beni’ wants to live and we want to help him have the life he deserves . Currently our bill is estimated between $998 and $1482 . This includes 24 hour care , blood screening hourly , insulin and X-rays . Once he is stabilized he will require dental care for the Abcess teeth, removal of a growth on his foot , insulin daily , diet prescription food  , repeated trips to the vet for monitoring his blood sugar level all of this will be over and above the estimate given for his immediate care . Please help us save Beni’s life , he deserves some time and love . Beni lost his home , he lost a dog friend who was also confiscated from the home who is scheduled to be euthanized due to health . 
His condition is hard to imagine but his will
to live is strong . There’s no explanation  to why Beni has survived this long , other than he wants to live !
