Alani's Fight Against Cancer

Donation protected
For three weeks straight, I was running to different doctors with my daughter, Alani, looking for an answer to an ongoing of high fevers, loss of appetite (any who knows my toddler, knows she normally can eat a whole cow), fatigue, loss of energy and sleepless nights. First week, one doctor said she just had tonsilitis, the next week they claimed a UTI and within those two weeks she was given two different antibiotics. The third week I noticed the medications were not helping at all and the fevers continue even after the prescibed amount was taken. Finally her someone referred us to Arnold Palmer since they specialized in children and woman. On February 2, after a long three hour wait in the emergency room we were finally called in to a room. They did not fins anything wrong with her and after about 30 minutes they decided to discharge us. My mother instinct kicked in and I began arguing with the nurse to do something else because I still didnt have an answer. I was told I was just a first time mother who was over reacting and there was no more to do. I requested a blood test which was hell trying to get because of the arguing match with our nurse. Finally after another couple hours, our nurse came in and said the blood twst came back abnormal and I needed to call an oncologist the following morning. On February 4, we came in for our appointment with the oncologist who broke out the news and possibility Alani may have leukemia. We were admitted to Arnold Palmer and did further testing. On February 5, Alani had a Bone Marrow Biopsy done which confirmed my toddler had Leukemia (A.L.L). This news broke me into pieces. The worst news a mother can get is her child is very ill an there is nothing she can do to help. I wish I could switch places with her. I am creating this page to help raise anything possible that will be strictly used for all of Alani's medical expenses. Alani had recieved her first blood transfusion on February 5 and will be receiving her first donatition of platelets today, February 7. On February 8, Alani will be undergoing a surgical procedure to insert a port near her heart for all her treatments and transfusions needed in the future. Chemotherapy will also begin on February 8th and continue for a minimum of 2 years. I am asking for any donations to help cover all procedures and treatment. Everything is happening so quickly so anything helps. This is a test of Faith for my family and I. I know the Lord has a bigger plan for my princess. I ask everyone to continue with prayers. Anything is possible with the Lord. Thank you all for everything this far.
