Megaesophagus Surgery for Sport

SUGARFOOT FARM RESCUE  is located on 120 acres in Columbia, KY.  We rescue dogs and horses.  We are unique because our dogs are not tied or penned up but allowed to fun free.  We tell people it's like kids on a playground - they hang out in groups -The big dogs with the big dogs, the old dogs with the old dogs, the young dogs with the young dogs.  They have a playset and 2 wading pools.  Our house has pet doors upstairs and down so they can come in and out as they please. 

We do not euthanize.  When dogs come here this is their home until they find a home.  We don't have a set adoption fee all we ask for is a donation.  Before dogs are adopted they are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and wormed, and are inserted with a microchip.

Last week someone brought a stray puppy here that they had found on the Lindsey Wilson campus.  He was adorable (all puppies are).  I named him "Sport"..Whenever he would eat he would vomit.  After a few days I took him to our veterinarian, Dr. Ange Olt of Mill Creek Veterinary Center, and he was diagnosed with mesaesophagus .  There are two options:  euthanasia or surgery.  To me killing him is not an option. 

On July 3 he has an appointment with Blue Pearl Veterinary Partners for an evaluation.  The surgery will be costly and I cannot afford it on my own.  Normally I don't ask for money but this time I am begging for donations to help cover the cost of the surgery.
