This help is for one of my closest and dearest best friend and her son... Her and his long story made short...

Parker Andrew Stone was born on September 27, 2015 by an emergency C-section. His mother Alicia Stone has been out of work for the last 3 months due to her high risk pregnancy with Parker and will be out for an unknown time during his transition of becoming health and able to come home. Alicia was in and out of her local hospital, until they decided there was nothing left they could do for her. During her times at the local hospital, Alicia endured 2 operations to her kidneys. The doctors thought that Alicia was having kidney stone, which was not the case.

During midnight weeks after her local hospital told her there was nothing more they could do for her, Alicia was rushed to Northside Hospital. Test after test, there was still no reason why Alicia was having so much pain. The doctors tried CTs, MRIs, and Ultrasounds, also keeping Alicia and Parker on high doses of pain medicine.

When every test came back normal, Alicia's pain was still unbearable. That is when the high risk pregnancy doctors and her team of doctors decided to do an emergency C-section. Parker came out about 9 lbs.  However, unlike healthy baby's, Parker was filled with fluid in his abdomen, and those fluids were pushing against Parker’s lung so he was unable to breath on his own. Each day a little more fluid is drained but some of it keeps comes back. He is still on feeding tubes, ventilators and fighting each day.

With the medical bills racking up; since Alicia was unable to work from her high risk pregnancy, Alicia is in need of help. Since Parker is in the Children’s Hospital still, Alicia had been staying at the Ronald McDonald House, which is costing $20.00 per day. Her bills are past due from not being able to work, medical bills are racking up and now her lodging down in Atlanta, just to be able to feed and see Parker daily is costing the last she has.

Please help with Alicia and baby Parker Stone. Any amount would help this new mother!!

Parker is getting stronger every day! He is taking more feeds by mouth but still struggling with staying awake to take them. His poor little body has already been through so much that all he wants to do is sleep. Please continue to pray for his strength to keep building up so he will be able to go home soon.

The last few days have been extremely hard as Alicia has made a trip to the ER for herself. Thankfully it's nothing major. But it will keep her out of the NICU for a few days. It's very hard and heartbreaking for her to be stuck away from Parker. But we're praying for a quick recovery so that she can get back there with him either tomorrow or Saturday.

Parker is doing great! He's taking more and more of his feelings by mouth each day. The nurses are feeding him by bottle but Alicia hopes to get back there soon and work on the nursing with him some more.

Please continue to pray for them. As this has been a very long pregnancy and journey for them. Every penny is greatly appreciated and helps to cover their bills while going through this rough patch.

Parker is doing an amazing job at fighting this battle no one asked for. He's doing well enough holding all of his feeds and nutrition on his own. So his doctor said today that the picc line can go!!! That's another big step towards finally going home. He still needs to get better about staying awake to eat and not relying so much on the feeding tube. But with his gestational age it's completely normal for him to just want to sleep and not be interested in working for his food. But we are happy and celebrating every step of progress he makes. Thank you again for all the support! Every little bit helps and releaves a little stress from Alicia's day. It means more to Alicia & Parker than you'll ever know. Thanks for being part of this journey.
Too much cuteness in one picture!

Today has been a good day! Little man did been nursing.
The GI doctor has said that he does not see a reason to drain his abdomen again. His abdomen has gone from 34 to 32 in the last 24 hours. Also, he's been moved to a big boy bed since he is able to regulate his own body temp. We are so happy to see such major improvements! Parker is such a fighter! Thank you for your continued support and prayers.
Such a happy little boy! So proud of how far he's come. Such a fighter!!
