If you know my dad, you know how much of a funny, loving, caring, and above all, what a generous man he was...but even if you didn't know him that well, he had this amazing way of making everyone feel like they'd known him for years. A day without him, his laugh, & his stories, feels like a year, and we're trying so hard to unite and cope as a family, because that's what we need and have to do. As we are starting to do that, we also have a big amount of stress on our shoulders covering the cost of the funeral, future bills, and living expenses. My mom is unemployed, and awhile ago retired from her job at the University of Michigan to help care for me when I was sick. Since then, my dad's income has been what was mostly supporting our family. Now with him gone, frankly, we feel so lost. Losing a father, and husband is hard enough, but to also have worries about how we're going to pay things, it's really taking a toll. If anyone would like to donate to help and support our family, we would appreciate it SO much!! Any size donation means the world to us, and especially this time of year with Christmas being so close. We also want to say a huge thank you to all of our family and friends these past couple days who have done nothing but be supportive and loving towards us. It helps more than all of you know. Thank you!!

Victoria has struggled going to go all year. Everyday is a struggle and it's so sad but on the days I can get her to go we would sometimes get McDonald's breakfast and in the morning. And to greet us was the nicest man with the biggest smile on his face. Good morning ladies he would say its good to see you again and it just made our day. He worked there it seemed most days and when we didn't see him he was missed. One day we were at Jason's grave and that same man walked up. He told us he was there decorating his sons plot and we told him about Jason. He said he would have love to have met Jason. Such a nice man who touched our hearts. We called McDonald's today to get his name because we wanted to buy him a little Christmas gift. He passed away on Monday.

I never had the pleasure to actually meet Richard. I would drive through McDonalds and he was always waving and nodding to me like an old friend. I will miss him. I'm very sorry for your loss.
