Computers for Carrie's Classroom!

It is amazing how excited students get about writing and research when they get to use a computer! Even the "reluctant writers" are motivated to write when it is on the screen.
This past year, I started using "Google Classroom", where I posted some writing assignments that students accessed online. They could share their work with their peers, and even offer online feedback. It was a HUGE hit with the students, but we couldn't use it as much as I'd like because of limited computer resources.
To encourage more writing in my class this year, I'd like to have a "computer station" during our literacy rotations each day.
Your contribution will help me purchase 6 chromebooks, mice, and a secured charging station in which to store them. This will allow one fourth of my class to research and write online at any given time--more than tripling their weekly computer access!
Plus, having this many computers in the classroom opens up a world of possibilities for differentiating in other subjects as well!
