Check Out My Website To See What I've Been Blessed With!

Hi, my name is Devon from North Carolina. I am a 17 year old who has been increasingly passionate about storms and weather ever since I was 3 years old. As a toddler, I would watch The Weather Channel for hours on end. I mean seriously, what 3 year old can sit that still. . . and watch the Weather Channel? My passion has continued to grow more and more as I got older and since then, I have been so blessed with many amazing opportunities; talking to popular chasers via email or getting amazing support within my community.

Sadly, storm chasing is one of those hobbies that is not only extremely dangerous, but also extremely costly. Try not to fall asleep with my statistics, but while chasing, you spend about .31 cents per mile. Sometimes, you can spend hours driving 200-500 miles per day in the Midwest to chase storms. Driving itself can average out to around $6,200 on average per season, with food and lodging adding another $1,500. In addition, camera equipment and other technology just adds on to that.

My biggest dream is to get out of my local chasing here in North Carolina, and go out to the real storms in the Midwest to film storms and save lives! Not only do storm chasers go out to get the best footage of these intense storms, but they also go out to better the greater community. Through new technology and modern-day communications, chasers can interact with various organizations to better enhance warnings to populated areas.  Also, they can be seen helping with various search and rescue opperations, as well as storm cleanup and rebuilding in the communities impacted by these horrific events.

Making this page can help secure the funding to save up for a college degree in storm chasing and spotting. After many conversations with professional storm chasers, I have sought to relocate to the middle U.S. to attend the College of DuPage for storm chasing for a BS degree in Meteorology. It's my help that this page will provide me with the opportunity to go out to the Midwest and literally "Chase My Dream".

I want to thank everyone out there --whether you spent the time reading my story, or even donated-- for the amazing support.  I look forward to communicating my appreciation through my email:
