Miss Nelson's 5th Grade Classroom

I am just about a month away from embarking on my first year as a 5th Grade Reading teacher in Sardis, Mississippi. I have a strong passion and belief that all students should be given equal opportunities when it comes to education regardless of where they come from. I want to provide my students with things in a welcoming classroom that they will enjoy and want to come to each and everyday. 

With that, I have limited resources while I am here and as this is my first year in my teaching career, I haven't had much time to compile things to start my classroom. I didn't realize just how expensive teaching materials account to. If I had, I would have began my search for things long ago. 

Any bit of support I can have in this would be very much appreciated, not only by me, but the group of students that will reap the benefits of it all.
