Help the Pozzobon’s open their catering business
Just over 2 years ago, this amazingly talented Italian man and his lovely American wife with their sweet little boy made a huge decision to come to America in persuit of the classic American dream of owning his own business. Marco worked hard (usually 7 days a week) as a chef at some of the finest and most popular Italian Restaurants in our city all while building his own little catering business on the side. His talent, his wife Emily’s customer service, and their combined determination made it possible for them to build the side business well enough that Marco was able to begin dreaming and planning for his own restaurant.
Things were looking good and working out well when he suddenly fell extremely ill for several months last fall 2017. He was in the hospital for many weeks, had many surgeries, and at some points in his illness, not expected to survive. As you can imagine, this has been an extreme hardship and huge set back for the successful catering business he had been building for over a year.
After several months of rebuilding and hard work the Pozzobon’s had researched and found a lovely little store front in a charming old town that would be perfect for their catering/deli “Inspired in Italy”. The home for their little dream that they had been searching for! Everything was lined up and opening day set when their financial backing fell through. Another nightmare damaging their dream.
Many of you are reading this because you are friends or family or followers of Inspired in Italy on Facebook. The Pozzobon’shave affected so many people through their delicious food, kind friendship and heartwrenching story.
They are still striving to see their dream become a reality. They need to raise $4000 to pay for deposits, lease fees and opening costs. That is not very much! We can do this for them!
