My Dad & Mom are in need of help. They have been married for 32 years. May Dad has many health problems, but the one I will tell you about is the worst. On December 26th 2013 he was told he had a very rare cancer in his left eye, Ocular Melanoma. After going through treatment for this he was told he had a 5% chance of it returning in the eye, and a 35% chance of it spreading to the organs. On December 4th 2015 my Dad had an ultra sound on the organs and a bone scan done. On December 9th it was confirmed that the cancer did indeed spread to the liver. So on December 30th he went for a biopsy to determine what type of cancer it was. Jan 4th 2016 they received the results which confirmed it was the same Ocular Melanoma. On Jan 12 had a CT scan done on the organs and Jan. 13th had a MRI done. On Jan. 15 the worst possible news our family could receive, the cancer has spread outside the liver, around the pancreas and into the bone. The Doctors told them he is at stage 4.
This kind of cancer does not respond to chemo or radiation.
My parents have no income right now to help pay rent, utilities, and other bills. They have two cats to care for also. They live about 45 minutes one way from his Doctor. They have a 2000 GMC that is in need of work, this is their only transportation, they have no other transportation.
The Doctor asked him if he would be willing to travel to other states for treatment, if they found some one that had better trial med's, of course he said yes, but with no money and no way of getting there it makes it kind of difficult.
Any donations in helping my parents would be greatly appreciated. My parents live in one state while each of us three kids live in other states.
