Sweet Sheila's Stroke Recovery Fund

Sweet Sheila had a stroke last Thursday while traveling for the Natural Products Expo in southern California.
She has spent the past week in the ICU. Initially she was paralyzed on half of her body, but she is making great strides on her path to recovery. She can now lift her arm and move her legs! She has her mischievous smile back , and her speech is improving daily. She is in intensive rehabilitation and physical therapy and will stay at the hospital in California for the next 10 days, but will then be coming home to continue her recovery with her family.
Sheila is a tenacious woman (as most of you know) and she will get through this…but this is going to be a long road for her and her family, and we need support from her community, both near and far. Her spirts are high, but so are the costs for her emergency care, medication, ICU time and her intense rehabilitation and physical therapy. Being out of state makes this scenario even more challenging (and expensive!), as now she and her husband still have to get back to the Seattle area.
The funds raised here will help pay for her care received in California, her transport back to the PNW, her continued rehabilitation and help make up for lost income since she and her husband have both missed quite a bit of work (and she will continue to do so for a spell).
Sheila is an incredible woman, a loving mother, a compassionate physician, a sage teacher and an all-around beautiful human being. Please give what you can, every little bit helps.
