Echo's Journey

Donation protected
My name is Echo and I welcome you to my page.  The following is my story and I thank you in advance for your support! My journey began over a year ago when I somehow became a bait dog. My true history and background are unknown since I was found dumped in the middle of a street in Matthews, NC on June 10, 2015.  A neighbor called the police after I layed in the road for an hour without moving.  I was extremely malnourished, and had multiple severe lacerations that indicate I was used as a bait dog.  Did I mention that my teeth had been filed down as well?  That is one indication that I was used as a bait dog as I could not defend myself nor fight off the others.  After many torturous encounters with people and other dogs I was dumped on the street to die.  Lucky for me that the kind neighbor did not turn his or her head and let me die in the street.  They did the proper thing and contacted authorities.  I was sweeped away by Matthews Animal Control and taken to a safe shelter by the kind Animal Control Officer! Matthews Animal Control Officer didn't abandon me at the shelter.  He knew I was savable and deserved a chance at a life filled with love. He needed a safe haven for me so I can heal in a home with foster parents who will acclimate me to a life without fear.  S.A.F.E. Animal Haven answered the call! I have the best foster parents I could ask for and they will take me to the vets as requested to ensure my proper care and healing. They will also feed me all kinds of awesome food so I can get to my proper weight and muscle tone.  They will shower me with love so I will know how it feels to be touched by kind hands and caressed in love.  They will socialize me with other animals and people so I can realize that there is compassion in this world. The start of my life was the worst but from here on out it will only be the best and I hope you will join me on my journey.
