Cooper needs a new eye

It was just an every-day weekend for teenage boys before an accident changed the life of promising footballer and sportsman Cooper Wallace.
The 16-year old was at the golf driving range with a few of his footy mates, when he bent down to retrieve his tee at the exact moment his mate teed off.
A golf ball hit him in the eye. At full speed. At virtually point blank range.
Cooper was rushed to Gold Coast University Hospital and underwent surgery. Unfortunately, the damage was too severe and nothing could be done to save the eye.
In July Cooper underwent further surgery. His damaged-eye was removed and an ocular implant was embedded into his eye socket. In upcoming weeks, a prosthetic eye will be made to fit over the ocular implant.
While Cooper will never regain sight his left eye, the prosthetic eye will give him an ordinary appearance as he embarks on the remainder of his school studies and his dream of becoming a professional footballer.
This fundraising is to help Cooper’s family recoup medical costs.
