David Millsap has been a heavily-involved and well-respected member of the Paris community nearly his entire life. David's been working in radio broadcasting for nearly three decades, always cheering up the lives of his avid listeners. You may recognize his voice from Morning Madness on 104.3, The River. He has always used his small town fame to help out his community in return. David has hosted many different benefits, namely those for sick children; as well as helped raise money and awareness for many different organizations, such as The American Cancer Society and Children's Advocacy of Lamar County. He also helps promote local businesses and musicians, helping keep Paris thriving. He's never let anything hold him back from serving his community....until now. 
David has struggled with obesity since childhood; the direct result of PTSD caused by losing his father. His heaviest weight reached 600+ pounds, but he has managed to shed some of the weight on his own. Despite his current weight of 469 pounds, he still manages to work extremely hard to make his way through life. His most recent trip to the doctor confirmed that this ongoing obesity will be his death sentence, if a weight loss surgery is not obtained, due to heart enlargement, neuropathy, diabetes, and high blood pressure. David has a gastric sleeve surgery scheduled for early August, and Medicare will cover the majority of the costs, with the exception of $1,500. In order to save his life, David needs help from the community he has been helping his whole life. The money raised here will pay for the remaining $1,500, as well as the proper food to eat after surgery, gas for out-of-town trips to the doctor, and money to cover the days missed from work. Without some help, financially and emotionally, David will struggle to be successful in this new chapter of his healthier life. Any donation is greatly appreciated.
