Joan needs help for health and home

Our Mother’s home is currently under foreclosure proceedings as of May 2016 following extreme mental illness and physical disabilities in our family.

In September, our mother suffered a severe paranoid schizophrenic breakdown after a pneumonia vaccine and two round of antibiotics.  Somehow, the medications did not mix with her.  If you have never witnessed what this is like it may be hard to imagine.  All of a sudden over a couple of days she started feeling afraid to sleep with the lights off and worrying about absolutely everything. Soon, every time my brother or I had to do anything she was afraid we would die.  She started seeing people in the house and having a conversation with them.  Before long she thought demons were going to kill her and us. It got very extreme and we had to take her to the emergency room. In our county there is a shortage of psychiatrists and care facilities.  The hospital she was in could not find her placement due to the illness, age, insurance, history of being a cancer survivor and having severe arthritis. After two days lying in an ER, she was admitted into a medical hospital.

Mom is home now, and doing better mentally, but her road to recovery is not over.  The most horrific part is her home is now in Foreclosure proceedings due to elder fraud and modification fraud.  She is still extremely fragile mentally and the news of this foreclosure could make her breakdown permanently.  The stress for her is extreme just with her medical and household bills.  The doctors stress to me that keeping her home is a priority for her mental stability.

The maintenance of her therapy and well-being is essential.  As a physically and mentally disabled 80-year old woman this is too much for Joan to bear.

We desperately need your help to save Joan’s home and assist with her medical needs to keep her sanity.  The hospital told us she really needs to keep her home so she has a familiar place to live.  It has been extremely hard for my brother and I, as we have exhausted all our savings to help, as she had already used hers.  In addition, I her daughter, have been physically disabled for the last eight months and have lost my job as my work would not hold my position.  This has made our financial problems much worse and the need for help is much greater.  Any income will go towards these needs.

Please consider helping our mother Joan through this very difficult and scary time in her life.  It is very important that Mom keeps her home and is able to have proper medical care to keep her sanity.

Anything you can offer will be appreciated.

In closing, we would greatly appreciate your help spreading the word to the right eyes, ears and hearts that can help save Joan’s home from foreclosure.
