Laughter Festival in India

I am a Laughter Yoga Teacher and licesned professional, focused on bringing joy and levity to healthcare delivery. Over the years, I've worked mostly with the elderly and children of all ages. My care-giving combines nursing with reflexology, humor, laughter and clowning. Laughter is great medicine!

REASON FOR MY CAMPAIGN:  
Laughter Yoga International is celebrating it's 20th year Anniversary in Bangalore, India in August 2015.  Along with other Laughter Professionals from around the world, I've been invited to attend! We will be skill -sharing, visiting schools/colleges and attending various laughter clubs in the area. This  "Laughter Fesitival" will help me learn advanced techniques, including new and innovative pedagogical approaches - EXCITING!

MY STORY:  Once upon time, a long time ago, my heart lit up when a I watched a - Robin Williams - Hollywood film called, "Patch Adams." Later, when attending Penn State University, I met the real Patch Adams and through his story, I became aware of the power and possibility of medical clowning, international travel and sharing the message of Love. The world is not a perfect place and there is much travesty, lonliness, and dis-ease. I asked myself:

How could I be a part
of making connection
heart to heart?

And in doing so,
save my own?

* Over the years, I've shared hundreds of clown noses with friends, strangers, kids, patients, doctors, nurses, lawyers and students alike. It is a simple yet fun way to change the day, to insipre a life.  

What else can I say? This trip would infuse my heart work with so much joy! I will garnish all that I see/do/feel and bring it back. I will take pictures and share my experience. Help Miss Kate Go to India. And THANK YOU.
