We are raising money to bring to life the short film Symphony of the Being directed by Nitzan Levinson and Sofía Petersen.

Film Synopsis:
Ben, a successful film director who has recently become the victim of a worldwide scandal for sleeping with the 17-year-old actor from his most recent film, has a cathartic experience when he is at an uncomfortable and judgemental family dinner.
Sarah, a young actress who is portraying a suicidal girl, gets so into character that she cannot separate fiction from reality, taking her to unexpected limits.
Ana, a latino woman who has been sentenced for committing murder, is tested by a psychologist with a strange method to evaluate whether she goes to prison or a mental institution.
Ben, Sarah and Ana’s worlds intertwine and reveal their union in the highest peak of emotion. At the exact same instant, the nature of words and language unveils its countless meanings and they all sing the Symphony of the Being.

-Race and minorities injustices
-Female empowerment
One of our main ideas is to touch upon strong, relevant and unresolved issues which are present in today’s society. Instead of portraying them in a one-dimension argument, we prefer to place the topics freely and let the audience find for themselves their thoughts on the matter.
The underlying issues that also unravel in these three tramas are:
-Newfound ways of social media communications and gossip
-Family’s disconnection, judgement and oppression
-Artistic envy and pressures of obtaining perfection
-Reproach and disrespect of young professionals
-Lack of warmth and affection in modern day society

Production Details:
The money will be used for the pre production, filming and post production.
Filming will take place in Los Angeles in March 1st.
Pre production will begin in January, where we will cast the main actors that take part in each story, find the perfect locations, organize make-up, costumes and production design, find the precise cinematographic choices with camera trials and hold rehearsals with the actors.
Post production will be done in London as this short film is a UK-Germany-US co-production.
Only with your help will we be able to bring our much beloved script to a high quality short film, worthy of pushing us as young directors to the next level.
