Stations of the Cross Eagle Project

My name is Charles Baker and I am 15 years old.  I am a Life Scout in Boy Scout Troop 404, chartered by St. Catherine’s of Siena Catholic Church, and I am in the process of working on attaining the rank of Eagle Scout. 

One of the biggest requirements for attaining the honor is to “complete a service project for your community.” This is the requirement I have been working on in recent months as I have nearly completed all of the other requirements for Eagle Scout.

The Eagle Service Project that I am in the process of planning is an Outdoor Stations of the Cross that will be installed at St. Catherine of Siena Church. A Stations of the Cross is a collection of 14 posts with carvings reflecting on the key events in the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. We will also be putting in stepping stones, benches, and overhead structures to prevent the wooden stations from wear.

In order to accomplish this project, I must raise at least $3,000. I ask that you make a generous donation for this Eagle Project.  St. Catherine’s church has a strong community and is growing every day.  This would be an excellent addition to the atmosphere and it would be used frequently, especially during the penitential season of Lent.

I also ask that you share this to all of your friends and your family.  The more participation I can get the better the outcome of the Stations!
