Eye Love You Summer Camp

During the summer of 2015 my friends and I created a project called the Eye Love You Summer Camp. This was a free, one week camp that helped children in the south side of Chicago express themselves through art, sports and dance. We educated these kids on the importance of financial literacy, food nutrition and self empowerment. With the help of our corporate sponsor BIC we were able to provide these kids with back to school supplies as well! All in all this week was extremely beneficial to our campers. They were able to use their creativity through a variety of mediums and learned how to survive in a food desert. More importantly we inspired them to follow their dreams and overcome any obstacle that is thrown at them. (For a recap of our summer camp please check out the link below)

In the summer of 2017 we will be doing the summer camp again but bigger and better! This year the kids will have weekly field trips, guest speakers and catered meals. With the camp being 4 weeks long we are going to be able to go in depth with all of our educational seminars. Each week will have a different theme ranging from food nutrition to multicultural history. At the end of the week there will be special days where students can tie dye, go to the pool, face paint among a plethora of other activities. This go around
