~Laying Her Daughter To Rest~
My name is Josh Ballard and I need you to lend me your heart. I work in several hospitals, but their is one special hospital that has one special employee that I've grown particularly close too and I am creating this gofundme page for her.
Today, I learned that my sweet, kind, and loving friend lost her daughter this morning. Her daughter's passing was untimely and even more premature considering she has left behind four young children.
I've known my friend for over a year now and I'd like to tell you a few things about her based on what I've witnessed. She has an excellent work ethic, is committed to excellence, and is always willing to help someone in a time of need. She is a wonderful grandmother whose every conversation usually contains a story that makes your soul smile because it is evident how deeply she loves her grandchildren.
I call her my, "friend", but she is much more than that. Last year when I moved to Marietta it was somewhat of a difficult time for me because I was 3 hours away from my family. My tough times were short lived because I quickly found a new family here. Like I said, "I call her my friend", but she's more like another Aunt, another Grandma, and yes, another Mother.
Amidst this tragedy, my friend has been on Medical leave for several months due to shoulder and knee surgery. Less pay, hospital bills, doctor bills, and now the unfortunate event of laying her daughter to rest.
Remember when I asked for you to lend me your heart? Well, it is my greatest desire to help my friend in this very sad situation. It breaks my heart that I am unable to help her completely myself, but the time is just not right.
That's where you come in. For a friend, for a Grandma, for a woman swimming in sadness, and an unfortunate financial predicament ME, I, am asking that you help me raise money, "To Lay Her Daughter To Rest".
The average funeral cost is $7,000, but I am striving for $5,000. I am donating $300 to get this loving contribution started and I am asking you to contribute in one of two ways.
A.) Donate whatever your heart desires.
B.) Pledge a $ amount per mile. Tomorrow I am taking a sick day from work and will be running as far as I can. I will start in Marietta and continue East along Rt.7 towards Athens, Oh.
