Oscar's Medical Expenses

I'm starting this go fund me account on behalf of my uncle Oscar Guerra. Let me tell you about my uncle Oscar, at the end of the month of May, my uncle was rushed to the hospital in Mexicali. He was experiencing numbness in his hands and feet.  That same day he got many tests done, ranging from blood work to MRI to bone marrow extraction. It took many tests as the doctors could not determine what was making my uncle sick. Once the second batch of results were in,  the doctors said my uncle caught a rare type of bacteria, also from that bacteria doctors said that his illness was called Transverse Myelitis. The bacteria was spreading rapidly. My uncle started having breathing problems and mobility problems as well.  His doctor said that the best option was to induce him into a coma.

During the coma, the main focus was to get the bacteria out. They put him on a ventilator and the doctors gave us the news that my uncle was paralyzed and would not walk again.  This was the moment that had the biggest impact on the family, as 3 days before he had been at work and everything seemed fine. They started him on dialysis, and he started making a recovery. We asked for a second opinion and his new doctor clarified that my uncle would be able to walk again, it would be a long journey but it could be done. My uncle is now awake and slowly improving but there is a long way to go. 

So this is where we stand, we decided to fly him into the U.S to continue his treatment and therapies here. This were I come and ask for help as treatments in the U.S are better but also more expensive.

Hola, hice este Go Fund Me en nombre de mi tio Oscar Guerra. En el mes de Mayo fue internado en un Hospital de Mexico. Los doctores diagnosticaron que tenia una rara bacteria que se esparcio rapidamente causando que el perdiera movilidad en el cuerpo. El ahora esta avanzanzado en su recuperacion, decidimos trasladarlo a los Estados Unidos, ya que ofrecen mejores terapias y tratamientos para el a mayor costo.
