Relief for livestock in Texas
HELLO!
My name is Alysia and I have a calling deep inside that I must act upon. There are many horses, cows, dogs, and cats that are in need of help due to the flooding in Texas. Because I am a lover of all critters, I am pledging to do my part to help.
I will be leaving Spokane on September 4th. I will be towing my horse trailer filled with supplies that I have gathered through donations over the past several days. I have a good mix of pet food, hay, grain, shavings, buckets, halters and an assortment of other items. I have set up this account to help pay for fuel and food for my trip to and from Texas. The additional money I recieve will be used to buy more supplies and help out in any other way needed.
While I am down there I will be using my horse trailer to transport livestock to temporary homes. I am working with a friend who owns a horse facility, an equine transport company, and a local group of people who do disaster relief work full time.
Round trip from my home to Houston and back is 4410 miles. I will be gone a minimum of 2 weeks. Below is my route. I am more than willing to make slight detours to pick up additioanal supplies and/or cash donations. You can follow my adventure on Face Book and message me if you have cash or supplies that I can pick up along the way.
I REALLY appreciate your help. No donation is too small.
Thank You !!
