Help our Avery Co. Neighbors!

Donation protected

For those of you who don't know me, my name is Brittany and I'm writing this to ask you to help my co-workers and friends.

Thursday, June 11, 2015 the innkeepers home at Archer's Mountain Inn and Jackalope's View Restaurant caught on fire. The blaze was seen all the way from downtown Banner Elk. There were two families living in the house. One family had young children who were in the home when the fire started.

It was the young girls, who were in the house, that were the first to see thick, black smoke. They ran straight to find their mommy and let her know that the house was on fire.

Thankfully everyone was able to get out safely but they lost all of their clothes, electronics, toys, furniture, and most importantly, Loony, the 8 week old puppy who was recently adopted and loved by everyone who met her.

The goal is to try and help in the process of rebuilding their lives.  They are now living in the Inn thankful that everyone is okay and unharmed.

Even if all you can do is read this post and share it amoung your friends and family; that is more than enough.  There are some of you who have already stopped by and dropped off donations of clothes, toys, and support to the families and they are 110% thankful for everything.  I ask that you donate what you can but more importantly, keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

Thank you so much for reading and for your support. I know that the families affected appreciate your thoughts, prayers, and continued support so much.

Thank you, again!
