Help an elderly sick man stay home!

Hello! My name is Jack. I am a 70 year old Hospice patient living with end stage emphysema and congestive heart failure. I live alone with my dog, Casey. I have no family and most of my friends have passed away.
Casey and I have lived in the same apartment complex for 15 years. This is my home. I just recently found out that my rent here is going to be increased substantially and I cannot afford to pay this.
I live on a fixed income from my social security and my pension. Almost all of this money goes towards my rent, my medicines, and to pay the Vet bills for Casey who has many complex problems. After paying for my food, medicines, and rent, I have nothing left each month.
Due to my health, a move from my apartment would be too taxing for me. I have no option but to stay where I live now. Because of this, I won't be able to afford medications for me or for Casey.
I have spoken to an attorney with Hospice who tells me that there is nothing legally that can be done for me. Now this is just a moral matter and his hands are tied.
Anyone who is willing to donate money to me to help cover this increase in my rent would be a true angel. I have hated to ask anyone for anything all my life, but now I am left with no choice.
I know my time left on this earth is limited, and I would like more than anything to pass peacefully in my home with Casey by my side, rather than be kicked out with nowhere to go.
