Being diagnosed with ALS back in February 2016 was such a surprise to us.  After sharing, we are continuously asked "What can we do to help?" Just asking is helping, but friends and family always seem to want to do more.
If you feel the need to give personally, here is a way donate. We are not asking, but wanted to provide a way.

We got the power wheelchair and purchased our van back in March.  We have been able to travel to North Carolina, Maine, and Florida to visit with family and friends since March. The first $10,000 goal has gone towards payments on our van.

On August 31, we increased the goal with anticipation of insurance only partially paying for a communication device. We anticipate insurance covering approximately 60% of the $17,000 price tag! We started the process (which could take 3 months) on August 15. We are so excited to get this to help with independance and communication both at home and with work!
