Helping Hand for Ethan Jeremiah
On Thursday January 18,2017 my son Ethan Jeremiah was admitted to the hospital after suffering an acute seizure. At first doctors were unsure of the cause but after running multiple tests and everything coming back normal, they concluded that based off his symptoms, Ethan had encephalitis. He developed this auto immune viral response targeting his brain as a response to a bacterial infection that was colonizing in his lungs. There is no cure for encephalitis. The medical team can only treat symptoms as they come but the virus will do its damage and leave when it's ready regardless of anything Ethan is given. Once the virus has finished attacking his brain, the road to recovery will be long and uneasy. It make take 6-8 months or longer for the swelling in his brain to Finally subside and his prognosis is unknown. I have been at the hospital every second from the day he was admitted and will not leave here until i leave with him. He may require physical therapy speech therapy and maintenence drugs to control brain activity. I'm a single mom and I come to my friends, family, loved ones, and anyone willing to help out in any financial way so I may stay here and be with my baby every step of the way towards his recovery.
