I was given the experience of a lifetime to go to Thailand and China this upcoming Christmas. I was invited by the Young family - close family friends - to go with them to meet and bring back there soon-to-be daughter (Lana) as well as doing mission work. Lana is a four-year -old orphan living in Kowloon, Hong Kong with Down syndrome.
The plan for the trip is to fly straight to Thailand. In Thailand, we will be working in a church teaching English and helping in whatever way possible. We will be in Thailand for six days before taking another flight to Hong Kong. In Hong Kong, we will go visit many different orphanages and simply “love on” all these beautiful children. We will then go to Mothers Choice Orphanage and will meet Lana for the first time. Throughout the week of meeting Lana, we will spend a little bit more time per day with her until the end of the week when she will finally come home to join the Young family.
This trip is an amazing opportunity to go out and spread God’s word as well as God’s Love. I hope that you would please pray for me and my safety as I embark upon this process. I also ask if you would please pray for my Mother and siblings as this will be my first Christmas without them. I do not want to make you feel obligated or pressured to give financially at all. If you, however, do feel led to help me financially for this trip, I am working on raising $4,000 to cover my expenses.
