For all of you that have had the pleasure of meeting Kurt Drysdale, would agree that he is a genuine, caring, passionate, bloke, who livedand breathed Rugby League.

His friends were/are thought of as family and there was nothing he wouldn’t do for you, all you would have to do is ask.

At the age of 6 Kurt played his first game of Rugby League for his local Football Club, The Helensburgh Tigers and proved to be a speedy, skilful success.

Throughout his early school years, Kurt was selected to Represent Sydney East Football Teams and was fortunate enough to represent his State, NSW for Rugby League.

It was the Afternoon after his NSW selection that we truly saw how much passion and dedication Kurt had for the sport and his team mates.
Being selected as a dummy half/Hooker, a position he had never trialled for, yet he had ever played.

It was from this day that he would constantly watch other Hooker’s in Rugby League to educate himself and would be practicing his passing skills before and after school with handmade targets he would tie to trees.

Kurt Spent his High SchoolYears at Endeavour Sports High School in Caringbah, where he was grateful and lucky enough to be coached by some of the best coaches and mentors in the game.

He played Mathews Cup and SG Ball with The Cronulla Sharks before signing this year with the Cabramatta Rugby League Club.

On the 7th of June 2015, Kurt Drysdale aged 20, was involved in a life changing Rugby League Accident, whilst being tackled to the ground.

Kurt has been diagnosed with a broken neck and has undergone two Spinal operations to try and recover and protect the rest of his spinal cord.

At this moment in time, Kurt is a Quadriplegic in the Intensive Care Unit, where he is getting the best possible treatment needed to move forward.

We would like to thank everyone for your Love and Support. Having such lovely support, is keeping Kurt and his Family Hopeful .

A few close friends suggested that we create a Foundation for Kurt’s Road to Recovery in order to help get Kurt the best possible support and equipment he will need to move forward into his new life.

All Donations are greatly appreciated and accepted. We will be donating any proceedings left over to The Spinal Research Unit.
