Earl’s Surgery

Hi my name is Shannon and I have an 8 year old son named Earl. Earl was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy at birth. This condition has caused Earl to have a number of health issues including trouble breathing, seizures, headaches and being restricted to a wheelchair because he is unable to walk. As you can imagine, Earl has spent a great deal of time in and out of the hospital. Last week he was there because his chronic headaches are now causing him to blackout and have seizures. Earl was also born with a brain bleed that has worsened as he’s gotten older. His eyes are currently swollen and he can barely open them. He hasn’t been eating or drinking much so today I took him back to the hospital. His doctors informed me that they will need to perform surgery on his brain and that they need to do it as soon as this Thursday (9/27). Earl has insurance but I found out that I will need to pay a copay before they can perform the surgery. Most of you know that I am in the middle of battling cancer myself and I can’t work as much as I’d really like so it is difficult for me to afford the full amount of the copay. I am asking and praying that you will find it in your heart to contribute so that I am able to get Earl the help that he needs.
