West Virginia is in a child welfare catastrophe:
*Almost 7000 of WV children are in foster care
*85% of their removals are directly related to the opioid crisis
*WV leads the nation in the number of children removed from their homes
*Research demonstrates that children with a CASA are less likely to spend time in long-term foster care and less likely to reenter care.
WVCASA promotes quality, well-trained court-appointed volunteer advocates so every abused or neglected child in West Virginia can be safe, have a permanent home and the opportunity to thrive.
Your donation will help WVCASA to expand services to address the child crisis:
*Providing support and technical assistance to CASA Programs to ensure effective advocates
*Expand this statewide program to increase services to children in the court system
