Support DC Area Syrian Refugees

Tax deductible
We need your help today to prepare for the arrival and care of more Syrian refugees.  Even $1 makes a difference.

Help ICC Crossroads  provide critical mental health services and community resource coordination to refugees and recent immigrants from the Middle East, South Asia and North/East/West Africa living in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.

What will your money go towards?
1) Providing mental health counseling to clients, many of whom are survivors of torture and trauma. Our clients most common concerns include PTSD and other trauma-related disorders, depression, anxiety, grief and loss.
2) Connecting clients to essential services such as employment, health care, youth programs, food programs and more!
3) Money to help clients with emergencies as they arise.

The ICC Crossroads program serves:
- Syrian, Afghan and Iraqi refugee families who currently face poverty and debilitating mental health concerns
- Rohingya and Afghan refugee adolescents living in foster care while processing complex trauma, grief and loss
- Women seeking counseling for domestic violence and abuse
- Youth and adults contemplating suicide
- Homeless families with children

About Us
ICC Crossroads works with refugees and recent immigrants impacted by trauma, grief/loss, chronic stress, social isolation, financial hardship and acculturation difficulties that may make their transition to life in the U.S. more difficult.

ICC Crossroads is the first social service agency in the county specifically focused on Middle Eastern, North, West, East African, and South Asian populations that are dramatically underserved by other social service programs.

Testimonials
The following testimonial is from a Montgomery County Public School teacher of an adolescent refugee:

"Your timely responses and attention to his emotional issues may have been 'life-saving' for him. I noticed a big difference in his behavior in and out of my class.  He is back 'with us' and trying to engage again daily!"

Another testimonial comes from a caseworker from a local refugee resettlement program in regards to one of our clients, an adolescent refugee:

"I just want to say that words cannot describe how grateful I am that you & your coworkers are able to help with this case!"
