Soccer Without Borders

This coming January, I will be traveling to Uganda alongside two of my teammates to volunteer at the 2019 Youth Festival with the Soccer Without Borders organization. As a volunteer, I will be living in Kampala, Uganda from January 3-13, coaching and teaching refugees in a sport I have grown up loving while helping to foster a supportive environment for these kids to grow. With the trip coming up fast, I am reaching out to friends and family for financial support to help make this opportunity happen.

To cover donation costs and airfare, my goal is to raise $1,500 in hopes of being able to positively impact children in need through coaching youth who desire and deserve to have fun. The program is asking for financial donations as well as new or gently used equipment to help support the needs of these children. 

I am super grateful to have this opportunity to travel to Africa and use the knowledge, love of the game, and passion I have for soccer to give back to these children who have not had the opportunities that I have been fortunate enough to experience. With soccer being a major aspect of my life, I have made some of my best memories, friends, and learned major life lessons along the way. Having had the opportunity to do something I love for so many years, I am excited to be going to Uganda this January to help bring joy through soccer to the many youth refugees who wait all year for the Youth Festival to occur.
