My name is Katelyn Carter and I currently live in Montevallo, Alabama. I met the Lord when I was five years old and have had a heart to serve Him since that day. My testimony is a simple one--I've always just loved the Lord. I'm so thankful that I've had the godliest parents and grandparents to set the example for me growing up. I'm definitely not perfect but I try to live my life in a way that pleases the Lord.
I had the amazing opportunity of spending this past summer in Hawaii with an organization called Youth With A Mission at University of the Nations. It was a life changing three months where I learned SO much about the Lord and so much about trust. I also learned more about the next step of the YWAM journey which is Discipleship Training School. I applied to the Awaken school and was accepted! I'm so excited for this opportunity. Awaken is an intense three month training school located in Kona, Hawaii. Then, for the next three months, we will spend it on different outreach locations (locations to be determined).
I have a lot of passions but the passion and calling to complete this school and spend the rest of my life (hopefully) serving the Lord is the biggest passion and calling of all. I've had amazing support from my home church and friends and family to go to Hawaii the first time but this next step is quite a bit of money to save. If you've stumbled across this page, first of all, THANK you. Thank you for taking the time to read this. Next, more than the financial aspect (because I TRUST the Lord will provide), I am asking you to please consider praying for me (and the leaders and classmates) over the rest of the year and the six months of the program. If you feel led to give financially, please know that THANK YOU will never be enough but thank you from the bottom of my heart!!!
