BOOKS IN NEED CAMPAIGN
Hello everyone,
My name is Angel Alicia Mukaya.
I will be volunteering for an organisation that teaches the basics in English to children in Africa. I started this campaign to help funds the money to purchase and provide children’s books to the organisation.
Wars, corruption, economic crises, illiteracy and poverty just to name a few plague many areas in Africa.
Being a student myself, I believe that education is one of the great equalizer in the world and books are very much at the foundation of that.
I believe attaining some sort of education, be it just learning to read and write is a great opportunity everyone should have and it is one of the ways that can help end the cycle of poverty and attain a better quality of life.
The aim of this project is to promote literacy and better the lives of deprived and less privileged children in Africa, Ghana.
My aim is to raise £1,500 by end of May 2017.
The funds will enable the organisation to buy the children’s books; academic textbooks, stationary and other stuff the children may need that will be go towards their education.
I will put the after-pictures of the project once the money has been raised and everything that needs to be done is complete to show the progress of the project on my personal blog: https://t.co/fpVgTK2YaL
This project means so much to me as well the children whose lives will be changed simply by your willingness to help and better their lives with what you will give.
