We are the Women's Rugby Club at the University of
Washington.
Women's Rugby at the University of Washington saw a glimmer of beginnings in 2001, but it was not until 2002 that the team was officially founded. A match against Western Washington University marked the true beginnings of the team. At that the time, the team was barely big enough for a full side and would often have to call on players from opposing teams to fill out numbers. Over the years the team has slowly but surely gained players and support.
We now have over 30 players on our roster and are starting our competitive season as a Division I team!
The money we raise will go towards buying new home and away jerseys and other equipment as well as help players travel to away games.
We appreciate all and any donations!
