Paige’s World Class Academy Tuition
My name is Paige Minor I am involved in JROTC with my school where I volunteer throughout the whole year with service learning projects, community events, and other school function. I also volunteer to help teach kayaking courses with the club Chicago Whitewater Association where I am currently in charge of communications. CWA has had a huge impact on who I have become as a person making me more adventurous, brave, social, and determined to improve myself no matter how scared or nervous I may be because in the end the results will make me super proud in kayaking but also in other aspects of life. Connecting with people from all aspects of life and helping as many people out as I can is my number one passion but kayaking is a very very close second. In January of 2018 I went to Nicaragua, a third world country filled with the most kindhearted and determined people I have ever met. I was there on a mission trip with my grandmas church and it opened my eyes to all the good I could do in the future. My future hopes in life are to be able to help show the good in bad places through photography and writing, to assist those in need because I am able to, and there is nothing more fulfilling in my mind than to do just that. World Class Academy is a school which travels to several locations across the world allowing the students to meet new people, emerge themselves in different cultures, and get a deeper understanding of themselves along with the world. I couldn't imagine a better way to spend my senior year of high school. The school cost just over 18k a semester due to the cost of living, food, education, kayaking costs, and travel. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity and being able to go exploring the world, connecting with the locals, learning not only about school topics, but real life situations, and bringing my kayaking skills to the next level would be a dream come true. I will be forever grateful to anyone willing and able to help me get there.+ Read More
Recently received a grant from Chicago Whitewater Association from the Marge Cline Fund they had set up for $1,000. I am so incredibly happy to be involved with such a great club and am extremely thankful for the grant I received. I lowered my goal amount by a thousand in order to compensate for the grant received, any and all donations/ support is so greatly appreciated. I feel so blessed to even be in a position where this school is a possibility.
