Working Poets of the World, Unite!

"The New International: Working Poets of the World, Unite!" is a poetry event on the near horizon, set for September 24th, 2016 (7-9PM) at KGB's "Red Room" -- a Communist-themed bar and event space in the East Village, NYC.

The event is in association with 100 Thousand Poets for Change (100tpc.org), a global poetry festival gathering and solidifying communities from all over the world, with a dedication to social, economic, and political issues.
The themes include change, transformation, peace, and empowerment, and I am both proud to be apart of and excited for the day when our New York City location will join all others, all across the globe; change and transformation through the power of spoken word, in every language, every culture, every time zone.
Free Drinks for all Card Carrying Poets, of course (cards provided) ;)
Open bar for 1 hr in the 'RED ROOM' (after that, cash bar).

please contact me if in any one you would like to get involved! Of course, the GoFundMe is here to help the financial aspects of this endeaver, but there are other ways to be involved (i.e. event promotion, networking, design, volunteering, et al).
Ideally, donations for this event should be received by the 1st of September - at the latest, with every penny going to: securing the venue, open bar, gratuity for the staff, design/printing services, any costs involving promoting the event, the purchase of goods and services (i.e. flyers and pamphlets), and of course, I would really LOVE to be able to have at least a few published poets who are known within the writing community - which means I would certainly want to pay them for their time!
In advance, I want to thank each and every one of you for your generosity, be it a financial donation, volunteering, spreading the word, or just simply good vibes.
