Woodshed Truck Fund

The Waldo County Woodshed is a volunteer run non-profit that provides free firewood to people in need of home heating assistance. We are entering our fourth season of operation now, and last winter we provided 120 cords of wood to families in the mid coast Maine area.

Our next goal is to purchase a small dump truck to allow us to move firewood to our seven satellite distribution sites, and to pick up donations of wood we are offered.

For three years we've been fortunate to have the use of a truck from Whitecap Builders, without which we'd never have made the Woodshed work. 

But now, it's time to work on getting our own vehicle. We're currently searching the Northeast for a suitable truck, something used but in good condition with the capacity to carry 2-3 cords of firewood.

All of the money raised here will go towards the purchase of a truck, if there are excess funds after the purchase those will be put towards the ongoing maintenance of the truck. 

This fundraiser is being organized by the volunteers that run the Woodshed. We'd love to be able to make this happen before winter, with your help we can do it!
