Help Jump start my career. To all friends, family, strangers, haters, lovers and supporters. I need your help! As you many of you may know, I'm pursuing my dream of becoming and actor. To many, my dream, may seem unrealistic, or simply just a dream. But to me, it's much more.
Becoming an actor isn't easy or cheap. After a couple of loans, I was finally able to join my first actor work shops at World class modeling and acting studios. Being that this was my first time ever attending anything like this before, I managed to book my first agent audition. Did I get signed? Of course I did! My agent managed to get me an audition to #IMTA. A convention in NewYork and Los Angeles where actors & models attend and show case their talent in hope of getting signed or booked for a huge role! I was accepted in to IMTA however, due to my financial situation, i wasn't able to attend. IMTA isnt a cheap ticket. Its about a $5k-$6k worth of a trip. (plane ticket, hotel, convention, etc. ) IMTA is still a goal of mine, I have no doubt in my mind that i wont be able to get in again, unfortunately i have to focus on a different path of my career.
I attended Universal Actor Showcase, an event where actors go to showcase their talent to many agents, casting directors, and other actors in the industry.
I was recently signed with Rage Agency and I was discovered by Robyn at the showcase I had attended couple months back. At this showcase I received great and positive feed back from casting directors, other agents in the Industry. Which truth be told, it really pumped up my confidence level, and made me believe in myself that much more! Rage Agency is requiring me to get a new head shot, as well as continuing on taking my classes to better my craft.
Getting positive feed back from friends and family is awesome but getting positive feed back from professionals in the industry can be even more rewarding. Im very thankful and blessed for all those who have pushed me and have given me great feed back.
IMTA: $5k-$6k (on hold for now)
Classes: $200-$300
Head shots: $300-$500
