Help us provide $250 scholarships for Kansans to attend the Women’s March on Washington on January 21st, 2017.

The Women’s March on Washington-Kansas team is a grassroots effort formed in the wake of the November 8th election. Our group is made up of bipartisan, passionate women and allies that deeply value EQUALITY, JUSTICE and HUMAN RIGHTS.
We believe the march will send a bold message to our new administration on their first day in office, and to the world that women’s rights are human rights. We stand together, recognizing that defending the most marginalized among us is defending all of us. This March is the first step towards unifying our communities, grounded in new relationships, to create change from the grassroots level up. We work peacefully while recognizing there is no true peace without justice and equity for all.
To ensure all voices are heard, we want to be able to provide travel assistance funds for those that need a little help to get to Washington. As Kansans, we believe in Ad Astra Per Aspera and we know that we can make it to the stars through difficulties if we work together. Please consider helping a fellow Kansan with a $250 scholarship to make the trip to the Women’s March on Washington. This scholarship would cover the estimated cost of $150 for a seat on the chartered busses, $15 metro pass and $85 in estimated food costs for the trip.
We are hoping to give as many scholarships as possible so please give what you can. A gift of any size can make a difference! Kansas Organizers for the Women's March on Washington are volunteers and are not being compensated in any manner for their time and dedication to this event. Any additional funds raised as part of this effort will be donated to Planned Parenthood, the ACLU and/or Southern Poverty Law Center.
