Myra , Chicago's All-Female Speakers Bureau, connects talented women to professional opportunities through speaking engagements and networking events.
We came to life in April 2016, when a dozen women met to talk about starting a business, leaving an abusive spouse, and dealing with a special needs child.
Today, Myra continues to bring interesting topics to Chicago's community through our quarterly Community Talk series. Additionally, we continue to connect speakers with opportunities to market their expertise. Now more than ever, women must be seen and heard out in front.
As of 2019, we have 50+ speakers, 300+ fans, an updated website, and a new e-Book to provide businesses with a menu of talks for their staff and clients. Take a look and book Myra for your next event!
As Women's History Month launches, we are launching our 3rd Annual Fundraiser to raise $1,200 for this year's events. Your donations, no amount too small, will help Myra operate our Community Talks, where anyone and everyone can join us for no cost to hear from powerful, female speakers on a variety of interesting, important topics.
Your donation will also fund our annual Gathering of the Bureau in the summer, where our speakers bureau gathers to network and share ideas about how to market their expertise and win business. If we raise enough money, we'll award a stipend to a summer intern for much-needed assistance with our organization.
We are a 501(c)(3) and registered Illinois non-profit. 100% of donations go to operations, as our leadership and Board are 100% volunteer.
