Great north run
Tax deductible
My friends and I are running the Great North Run this year to raise money and awareness on a condition called Congenital Hyperinsulinism.
This is a rare and dangerous condition in which the pancreas produces too much insulin which leads to low blood sugar levels and hyperglycaemic seizures which can in turn lead to some children being left permanently brain damaged. At 5 months old my daughter Georgia suffered a hypoglycaemic seizure and after 4 weeks in hospital we were told she had this condition and life quite frankly has never been the same, but thanks to the fabulous support group that is ran by the hyperinsulinism charity we get to feel some what ‘normal’ reading and listening to other parents stories and ways of life. My friends and I would be so grateful if you could spare anything you have for this charity and let’s get some awareness raised.
