Winnipeg Lost Dog Alert assists in reconnecting lost or found dogs in the Winnipeg and all of Manitoba, to their family.
We are a 100% volunteer-based non-profit organization. Our service is free so we depend on donations for equipment and operating costs.
Our operating costs are things like website, domain name, accountant fees, printing of pamphlets, advertising, etc.
We work primarily from our Facebook page that was created in January, 2011. We have over 40,000 LIKES on our page, which means we have that many sets of eyes helping in getting these babies home. You can find us at https://www.facebook.com/WinnipegLostDogAlert/
We also have a website at www.winnipeglostdogalert.com that has tips when a dog is lost or found. We now have a blog where we will be posting information such as tips that can be shared on Facebook, events that we are invited to or that we are putting on. So please check it out once in a while.
We originally had this campaign setup for a trap fund which is put on hold right now. Anyone who donated towards our trap campaign have been contacted via email to let them know this has been put on hold and we will refund thier donation if they wish.
We are a Registered Charity so when you donate anything $5 or over, we will issue you a tax receipt at the end of the year. Don't forget to include your address so we can issue the receipt!
